Peaky Blinders star Helen McCrory dies aged 52 after battling cancer

Actress Helen McCrory sadly passed away at the age of 52 after battling cancer.

Her husband Damian Lewis made a heartbreaking statement to Twitter on Friday April 16.

It read: “I am broken to announce that the beautiful and powerful Mrs. Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home after a heroic battle with cancer, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family.

“She died while she was alive. Fearless.

Awards for actresses Harry Potter and James Bond have been received on social media.

One person said, “Oh my god! And only 52! I send so much love to Helen McCrory’s friends and family, especially Damian. I am so sorry.”

Another wrote, “Oh God. Helen McCrory. So terrible. She was a great actress. “

One added, “Helen McCrory was immensely present in everything she was in. Really brilliant.”

Another tweeted, “Absolutely disappointed to hear we lost the amazing, wonderful, and unforgettable Helen McCrory.”

Helen leaves behind her husband Damian and their two children, daughter Manon (14) and son Gulliver (13).

Helen and Damian appeared on Good Morning Britain just last month to discuss their charity work.

Helen replied: “I have children!”

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Helen and Damian raised over £ 1 million for Feed NHS, a program designed to offer NHS staff food from restaurants on Main Street.

Helen was best known for her roles as Polly Gray in Peaky Blinders, Clair Dowar in Skyfall, and Emma Banville in Fearless.
