Philip WAS “concerned” about a hospital feud

Prince Philip was reportedly “concerned” for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle while he was in hospital.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who died in April, is said to have been troubled by the couple.

Royal writer Robert Lacey said Philip’s friend and royal biographer Gyles Brandreth told him this firsthand.

An update to Lacey’s book, Battle of Brothers, revealed the elder king’s concerns.

What was Prince Philip worried about?

The book says: “What worried him, Brandreth said, was ‘the couple preoccupying themselves with their own problems’.”

This was reportedly voiced by Philip after Harry and Meghan interviewed Oprah Winfrey.

The interview was filmed and broadcast while Prince Philip remained in the hospital.

Philip apparently described the interview as “madness” and was briefed by his team of advisors about their claims against the royal family.

The bomb interview revealed various staggering allegations against the royal family.

Both Harry and Meghan claimed an unnamed member of the family raised “concerns” about “how dark” their son Archie’s skin would be.

Harry also said he was forced to do business in America because his father, Prince Charles, had “cut off” him financially.

And Meghan claimed the palace refused to offer her psychological support.

Prince Philip never responded publicly to the interview.

However, the Queen made an official statement.

It says: “The whole family is sad to learn how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

“The problems, especially those of race, are worrying.

“Even if some memories can vary, they are taken very seriously and addressed privately by the family. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be popular family members. “
