This morning’s host Phillip Schofield offered to pay an older woman’s energy bill today when the viewer voiced their concern.
73-year-old Patricia from Norfolk called to speak to money-saving expert Martin Lewis.
She stated that after switching energy companies, she ended up with a bill of £ 701.85.
What did Patricia say that morning?
Patricia said she didn’t send gas and electricity readings to her old supplier because she didn’t understand them.
Eventually she received the £ 700 bill after being billed for her usage when leaving the supplier.

Martin then suspected that Patricia was using more energy than she thought, and because she wasn’t giving regular meter readings, the supplier decided that she should have been paying more every month all along.

The expert then suggested that Patricia challenge the bill to make sure there was no mistake.
Poor Patricia then admitted that the bill caused her not to eat or sleep.
Holly said, “Oh darling.”
Phillip Schofield comes in to help
Phil jumped in and said, “No, no, no, no. Do not do that. Look, one way or another, we’re going to fix this for you.
“If the worst turns into the worst, we’ll pay for you.”

Patricia said to the hosts: “Thank you very much. I’m so glad I got through to you. “
What did the viewers of This Morning say?
Viewers praised Phil for his gesture, as one person said on Twitter: “@this morning I felt so sorry for Patricia and her huge energy bill this morning.
