Piers Morgan GMB back? The moderator spoke up when the petition reached 200,000

Since Piers Morgan left GMB earlier this week, supporters have flooded in to show their support.

A petition to reinstate the moderator on Good Morning Britain now has 200,000 signatures.

But the efforts of the Piers fans were in vain on this occasion.

The 55-year-old, who also hosts Life Stories for ITV, has made a brief statement that he will not be back.

“I will not be returning, but thank you to everyone who signed these petitions,” he wrote.

“Usually people start petitions to have me released or deported. That is a pleasant surprise.”

When the news came of Piers’ departure from the breakfast show that he had made an appointment for millions on television on Tuesday night, the former newspaper editor remained unusually calm, but for a post about his late manager.

It turned out he was enjoying his favorite curry and whistling at home while – in his favorite words – the world was going insane.

There was no crying in his cereal on Wednesday morning when he made a short but powerful statement on Twitter while GMB was on the air.

Alongside a quote from and a picture of Winston Churchill, he wrote on social media: “On Monday I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview.

“I’ve had time to ponder that opinion, and I still don’t. If you’ve done that, OK. Freedom of expression is a hill I like to die on.

“Thank you for all the love and hate. I’m on my way to spend more time with my opinions. “
