Piers Morgan has paid an unexpected tribute to ex-wife Marion Shalloe.
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host said his ex-partner was one of the many who signed up after he left the ITV program.
They have three sons together, while Piers has another daughter from his current marriage to Celia Walden.
What did Piers Morgan say?
In a column for the Daily mailThe presenter praised his ex-wife for supporting him after leaving GMB.
It came after Susanna Reid gave a “frosty” speech about her former co-host on the show.
Piers wrote in his column and quipped that Marion spoke “more lovingly” about him than Susanna at the time.

He said, “Jesus Christ, even my real ex-wife speaks more lovingly of me than that (and actually did so overnight in a very supportive message).
“I immediately got a flood of new texts from confused friends asking if we had fallen out.”
Piers made it clear that the couple hadn’t fallen out, but thought Susanna was “angry and sad” when he left.
Despite their divorce, Piers and Marion are still friends.
The couple, who were married between 1991 and 2008, share three sons, Spencer, Stanley and Albert.
In the meantime, in 2009, the former newspaper editor opened his “terrible” breakup.

To speak to Daily mailHe said, “The divorce was a pretty terrible experience – all divorces are deeply uncomfortable.
“The day Marion and I got divorced, I said, ‘You know what? We can both go away and feel terrible about it, but let’s never mention it again. ‘
“I don’t regret it because these things happen, but I’m glad we stayed good friends because it is important to your children.”
Piers slams Alex Beresford
In addition, Piers accused Alex Beresford of “trying to make a name for himself” in his column.
The couple famously clashed after discussing the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle on GMB.
Write in the MailPiers said, “I don’t mind outside guests trying to make a name for themselves by hitting me like that, but I wouldn’t sit there and take it off one of my own teams, especially someone I have went out of my way to help when he asked for advice on his career.

“When I realized I could say something I would regret, I decided to leave the studio to cool off.”
Following the comments, Alex used social media to convey a message of hope and certainty.
Alongside a snapshot of himself, he wrote: “Remember, the sun still rises and sets so beautifully every day, somewhere in the world.”
