Place In The Sun host Laura Hamilton has pushed back reports of wanting to leave the show.
Last week, a report suggested that Laura was leaving the hit Channel 4 show to host her own travel series.
It came while joking about a fun Priscilla Queen Of The Desert-style travel show on her live stream Birds With Baggage IGTV.
However, Laura has spoken exclusively to Entertainment Daily and angrily denied that she intends to leave A Place In The Sun.
And she said the reports “pissed her off”.
What did Laura say about A Place In The Sun?
When asked about the truth behind the rumors, Laura said to ED !: “There is no rumor. I didn’t even say I wanted to go.
“In fact, I had a conversation with my boss because it really pissed me off and I never said I wanted to leave. Why should I?”
She added, “It’s just awful. Because I said I was working on other TV projects and I’d like to do other travel stuff, that doesn’t mean you’re going to leave a project you’re already working on.

“I own a café and a restaurant. That doesn’t mean that because I own a cafe and a restaurant, I’ll quit my television job and do it all day. You know what I mean? ” She said.
“It’s just awful the way people twist things that are said. That’s not fair. People have to be careful about the things they write. “
It could have hurt my career a lot and I think that’s really unfair. I do not go anywhere.
She added that she was concerned that the rumors could have been “very damaging” to her career.

“We’ll be back on the road in a few weeks. I will go to Spain, ”she said.
“We’re going to try to film as much as we can while we can – you just never know if things will change again.”
Changes to the new series from A Place In The Sun.
The show returns with a new series on April 26th, and Laura said she was “really excited” about the return.
“It has only grown in popularity in the last year because it was the only bit of escape people could have,” she explained.
“Some of these episodes were filmed last summer, others will be filmed earlier this year. It’s really interesting as you can see the ones that were made during COVID.
“You can’t hug, you’re socially distant. But that’s all you will notice because everything else is done neatly in editing, ”she said.

Would Laura ever consider hosting her own travel TV show?
“Look, I’ve always come up with different ideas and TV formats and shows that I may not necessarily be presenting – they are shows that other people could be presenting.
“But that doesn’t mean I can’t still be part of A Place In The Sun. You know, I’ve done a lot of things over the past 10 years while continuing to do A Place In The Sun.
“I still do other things so there are other shows and little things that I do while I keep doing it. Of course I am always open to other possibilities and ideas. But I’m not going anywhere. “
“You can’t compare it to the Dubai influencers”
When asked if she’s worried about the inevitable comments about living overseas while the rest of the country is off vacation, Laura, who is married to Alex Goward and is the mother of Rocco, seven, and Tahlia, five ), known that she isn’t I am never exposed to negativity on social media.
“It’s not a holiday,” she said. “You are helping people find a home that is legal from today to travel abroad.
“If you are going abroad to look for a vacation home, or if you own a property overseas and can show proof that you have to get out to service it, it is legal,” she said.
“If you want to compare it to the Dubai influencers, you can’t compare it to that,” she said.
“The show is very sensitive, even with us we are aware of what we post on social media because we don’t want it to be rubbed in people’s faces as if we were abroad and you weren’t.
“But we are also aware that the show has brought so much joy into people’s lives and we are putting ourselves at risk by doing what we do to bring some joy and pleasure into people’s homes bring to.”
Laura’s milestone birthday
Away from our screens, Laura is preparing to celebrate her 40th birthday next year.
But she’s not worried about aging.
“I still feel like I’m 20 so it’s fine,” she said.
“I don’t really like it, wow 40, I just want to plan a nice vacation, I’ll probably do that to book a vacation.
“Age as a number doesn’t really bother me. I just think I still feel young. Besides, 40 are still young anyway, right? “
Laura returns to A Place In The Sun on Channel 4 on Monday April 26th.
