Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s statement taken out of context, says buddy

Royal fans have “taken the latest statement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out of context,” a close friend of the couple has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were formally stripped of their royal roles and patronage this week following a statement by the Queen.

Her Majesty said she was “sad” that they would no longer be a working family member.

What did the Queen tell Harry and Meghan?

A statement released by the palace said it was “not possible” for the couple to “continue the responsibilities and duties associated with a life in public service.”

“While everyone is saddened by their decision, the Duke and Duchess remain popular family members,” added the Queen.

Meghan and Harry were quick to respond in a statement of their own, however.

Unfortunately, the couple didn’t go down well with Royal.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their duty and service in Britain and around the world. They have offered their continued support to the organizations they have represented, regardless of their official role, ”the statement said.

“We can all lead a life of service. Service is universal, ”added the couple.

What did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s friend say?

Her statement has been viewed by some fans as a sly confrontation with the monarch.

As a result, Dean Stott, an Army friend of Harry’s for 12 years, hit back, saying the couple was no harm.

Instead, he insisted that the “service is universal” line should be seen in the context of the couple’s charitable work.

He said they can do more of this after the megxit.

“There are several ways to provide service,” he told BBC Radio 4.

“Obviously that was the protocol and what we knew so far. But they are a very modern couple and they like to do things differently.

“So they see that they can still do a service, but in their own way.”

What titles did Harry and Meghan lose?

The Queen’s decision means Harry will no longer hold his military titles such as The Royal Marines, RAF Honington, Royal Navy Small Ships and Diving.

Meghan will also no longer take her patronage of the Royal National Theater and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

A Sussexes spokesman said there was “absolutely no question” the couple had hoped to keep their titles.

“They respect the decision, but have always made it clear that they are committed to taking on the roles,” they added.
