Prince William returns to St. Andrews with Kate Middleton

Prince William returned to St. Andrews today (Wednesday May 26) with his wife, Kate Middleton, where they first met while studying.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took part in a land yacht race on West Sands Beach.

And the footage showed William using sharp steering to give his wife an advantage as they turned a corner!

Why were Kate Middleton and Prince William in go-karts at St. Andrews?

The Cambridges got into the wind-powered vehicles when they learned more about Fife Young Carers.

The charity helps young caregivers by offering a range of outdoor activities and excursions to help them feel better.

The wind reportedly lifted Kate’s rear wheel at one point.

Despite the unexpected lift, she raced on with a big smile.

Why are Kate and William in Scotland?

The couple traveled to St Andrews as part of their weeklong tour of Scotland.

They are expected to return to London tomorrow (Thursday May 27).

West Sands Beach is only a mile from the University of St. Andrews, where they met twenty years ago.

How did Kate and Wills meet?

Both were reportedly resident at St. Salvator’s Hall as students.

The story goes on, William first noticed Kate at a charity fashion show in 2002.

Kate wore a lace dress to swim down the runway – but this morning she wrapped herself in a Barbour jacket!

According to MailOnlineKate also wore Chloe boots and Campbell’s of Beauly Fairisle jumpers to the engagement.

During their time in Scotland, Kate and William also traveled to Orkney – and were tickled by a boy who asked Kate if she was a prince or a princess. The Cambridges also opened the new Balfour Hospital in Kirkwall.

They also helped prepare meals for vulnerable families with Sikh Sanjog. And the couple also visited a renewable energy turbine that is fighting climate change.

Additionally, Kate drew comparisons to Princess Diana earlier in the week. That’s because she was wearing a blue outfit similar to the one worn by the Princess of Wales in Scotland in 1992.
