What will happen to the titles of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis?

She said as reported by express: “On the first day Charles is King, the children will be Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis of Cornwall and Cambridge.

“Once their father is Prince of Wales, they become George of Wales, Charlotte of Wales, Louis of Wales.”

Charlotte the next Princess Royal?

However, it seems that Charlotte could get a new title of her own too – but not automatically if Prince William becomes the monarch.

That’s because someone is already holding it – Anne, Princess Royal.

George becomes Duke of Cornwall and then, of course, Prince of Wales. But Charlotte and Louis will be of nothing.

The title is usually bestowed on the eldest daughter of the monarch, which is why it was bestowed on Anne, and it remains with them for life.

Speak with Urban and countryside Author Duncan Larcombe said: “The title of Princess Royal is traditionally bestowed on the monarch’s eldest daughter.

“It’s a title that will last a lifetime, so Princess Charlotte will have to wait at least until the current Princess Royal dies.”

However, after Anne’s death, there is still no guarantee that Charlotte will become the next Princess Royal.

Duncan stated that the decision would be with Charlotte’s father, William.
