Zara McDermott has announced that she has left Made In Chelsea after filming her Revenge Porn documentary for BBC Three.
The reality TV star has confirmed that she is moving away from the format she put in front of the television audience.
And it seems as if the 24-year-old Zara could decide in the future to step behind the cameras to program more factually instead.
What is Zara McDermott: Revenge Porn all about?
In the documentary, former Love Island contestant Zara tells how she was hit by revenge porn when she was only 14 years old.
She explains how she was bullied at school and the incident in which a boy pressured her to send a nude picture caused her to commit suicide.

Making the program influenced Zara so much that she now wants to move away from reality TV altogether.

Zara continued, “I would like to make more documentaries. I am full of ideas and I think I surprised myself. I was obviously nervous a year ago. I’ve enjoyed this satisfaction in helping people.
“That is my goal for this year and next. No more reality TV, it’s hard for the soul. “
From politics to Love Island to documentary films
Zara, who worked as a political advisor before being cast on Love Island in 2018, also noted that she failed to make “positive changes” while working on reality TV.
Zara considered her role as an “influencer” and continued, “Superficial isn’t always bad. But at some point I have a very active brain and want to feel like I’m doing something and making a positive change. “
She also outlined her priorities in balancing aspects of her life like influencing, fashion, and working with charities, and advocating for changes to the law regarding revenge porn.
