Robert Webb had to give up Strictly Come Dancing for health reasons.
The peep show star and his pro partner Dianne Buswell withdrew from the competition on the advice of doctors.
49-year-old comedian Robert announced that he had an open heart surgery two years ago. Due to the nature of his illness, he is in a long recovery phase.
While he initially believed he would be good enough to compete, this is no longer possible due to longstanding conditions.
Strict spin-off It Takes Two confirmed the news on Wednesday night.
What did Robert say about his departure?
In a statement on the exit, Robert said: “I am very sorry to announce that I am withdrawing from Strictly Come Dancing for health reasons.
“I had open heart surgery two years ago and while I believed I was fit enough to handle Strictly and its demanding schedule, it became clear that for this phase of my recovery I had bitten off a lot more than I could chew.
“I had started experiencing symptoms that made me urgently seek a consultation with my cardiac specialist, and she thought it would be better for my health to withdraw from the show.”

“I’m proud of the three dances Dianne Buswell and I performed and I deeply regret abandoning them like that,” he added. “I couldn’t have asked for a more talented partner or more patient teacher, and it’s a measure of Dianne’s professionalism and friendliness that has brought me as far as I have.
“Thanks also to everyone at home who voted for us. It was always a difficult mountain to climb (on the one hand it is made of glitter, so it is very slippery) and I was particularly touched by the support from fellow patients. “
“I think maybe I was too eager to impress her,” he added. “You will know that recovery is not always straightforward. I hope you are not too disappointed that I reached the limits of my resilience much earlier than I had hoped. “
What did Dianne say about Robert Webb?
“As a huge fan of Robert, I was delighted to learn that he has joined the Strictly family,” said Dianne of the announcement. “It was also the icing on the cake to find out that he is my partner.
