Ruth Langsford, the star of Loose Women, got emotional today while talking about her mother in a nursing home.
The star spoke about Ruthie Henshall’s recent request to see her mother, who has dementia, at her home.
On Tuesday’s show, Ruth said she wanted to see her mother in her nursing home.
What did Ruth Langsford say about Loose Women today?
Of Ruthie’s comments, Ruth said, “This is very important to me because my mother hasn’t been in her nursing home since March.

“Many people’s greatest worry is when they have died and you haven’t really held them and touched them.
“I saw my mother through a window, I call her all the time, but I haven’t touched her physically.”
Then a photo popped up of Ruth kissing her mother through a window.
She added, “I fully understand this from a nursing home perspective because they have such a responsibility and care for very vulnerable elderly people.
“My mother’s nursing home was amazing.
“I think right now that we understood that back then [shutting down], my mother had her first vaccine, they couldn’t treat me as a family doctor.
“Test me and as long as I don’t have Covid, she has the vaccination, I could go in and sit mentally in her room and talk to her, touch her.”

She said, “I cannot praise the caregivers at my mother’s house enough, they are amazing.
“But you can’t reconcile my memories with my mother, you can’t sit and talk to my mother about my father, my sister.”

In conclusion, Ruth said, “I think people really need to see, touch, and hold on to their loved ones” before they rip apart.
She added, “Anyway, something fluffy now because we don’t want to piss you off today.”
