Ruth Langsford announced that she was sexually assaulted when she was only 11 years old.
The 70-year-old host of This Morning spoke about the terrible incident in an interview.
Ruth said she was also “tracked” and “flashed” a few times when she was a school girl.

The star said the incidents happened when she was between 11 and 16 when she was on the London Underground.

In Best magazine, the Loose Women host wrote, “I was flashed more than once, followed a couple of times, and a man once put his hand on my skirt in a crowded gulp.
“These incidents all happened to me between the ages of 11 and 16 years.”
Ruth also said, “I wonder now why I didn’t yell, yell, make a fuss and report you to an officer – all the things I would ask any girl or woman to do today.”

Meanwhile, Ruth said she wanted to speak up after the death of Sarah Everard, who was murdered while walking home through London earlier this month.
The moderator added that “not every man is a threat” and not every man is a “sexual predator or murderer” but they are “neither us”.
She praised her husband, Eamonn Holmes, saying he “honors, respects, stands up for and defends women”.
However, Ruth said he had “no experience of sexual harassment”.
In addition, Ruth said that her friends “all have terrifying stories to tell”.
After detailing her own experiences as a school girl, Ruth said that “perverts and predators” were “drawn to the same paths I used to jam like wasps”.

Ruth said she did “nothing” at that age because she “didn’t know what to do”.

She added that she “kept my wits about me and hoped it wouldn’t happen again”.
