ShortsTV, the first and only global short film broadcaster, brings to life short films that are available around the world. With the intention of promoting Indian short films in international regions, ShortsTV announces its collaboration with Whistling Woods International, India’s premier film school. ShortsTV is introducing a new segment with the Film School Special, in which top short films by Whistling Woods International students are presented. The aim is to offer budding filmmakers a bigger platform. Some of the best short films shown this month are BEST DAY, DEATH RUN, KATHAKAAR and EKAKI.
THE BEST DAY
This short highlight creates a special bond between father and daughter. After missing his surprise party, a father tries to win his daughter over by spending a full day on the beach with her and promising her the best day of her life.
This exciting short film revolves around three thugs pulling off a diamond heist. The dice of imagination and betrayal are the cast. As the thieves cross each other, the question remains who can get away with all the loot.
The versatile actor Piyush Mishra will appear as an old theater projectionist in this interesting short film. Fighting what to do with his life, one day he tells a story and becomes the most popular storyteller in the village.
“Ekaki” is set in Mumbai and is a touching story about loneliness and the way life goes on. Watch what happens when Sugandha’s life crosses with Junaid’s.
ShortsTV will also broadcast over 100 short films by filmmakers who have participated in the American Film Institute Conservatory’s educational programs thanks to a new licensing agreement with the film school. The titles include short films with big Hollywood stars such as “Wild Horses” with Brooke Shields and Mireille Enos and “Interstate” with Gina Rodriguez in the lead role.
