Singer’s estranged father dies of coronavirus

Charlotte Church lost her birth father Stephen Reed after a fight against the coronavirus.

The 56-year-old was admitted to Wales University Hospital, Cardiff, before Christmas after falling ill.

Stephen later reportedly died in his home surrounded by his family.

According to Mail onlineAn autopsy was performed for the Glamorgan Coroner.

There will be no investigation, however, as Stephen died of natural causes.

Did Charlotte Church have a relationship with her father?

No, Charlotte’s father left his wife Maria and their daughter when she was only two years old.

Since then, Stephen has tried to reconnect with the 34-year-old singer.

It is now believed that Charlotte had not reconciled with her father before his death.

In 2008, Stephen had publicly asked his daughter for a reconciliation.

Charlotte, who was already the mother of daughter Ruby, was pregnant with son Dexter at the time.

He said, “Please get in touch – I still love you. I am very angry that I have a grandchild I don’t know and another one on the way, but what can I do?

“When I see photos of Ruby, I see a lot of myself in her. I am a good father. I think I would be a good grandparent. I don’t see what the problem is. “

In addition, the classical singer later changed her last name to that of her stepfather.

Mother Mary subsequently married husband James Church, who adopted Charlotte as his own.
