Holby City has been on the air since 1999 and over the years we’ve seen many incredible characters come and go.
June 2021 it was announced that Holby City will air in 2022.
While Holby City’s current cast is incredible, there are some past characters we’d love to see again before the show ends next March.
Holby City: 6 characters to return before the show ends
1. Jac Naylor

Jac made her first appearance in Holby City in 2005.
She initially appeared as a deputy in general surgery and later became a specialist in cardiothoracic surgery.
Jac has been involved in many incredible storylines over the years. However, in February 2021, Jac made the decision to leave the hospital.
Actress Rosie Marcel stated in an interview with Digital spy that she was going to spend more time with her husband and daughter.
Even though Jac is gone, it would be nice to see her before the show ends.
2. Elliot Hope
Elliot Hope performed in Holby City from 2005 to 2015. He later returned to drama in 2019 and also appeared on Holby’s sister show Casualty.
Elliot was a consulting cardiovascular surgeon. The character left the hospital in 2015 to be with his lover, Brigette Nye, played by Emmerdale star Sally Dexter.
He returned to the show in 2019 and was reunited with Jac as she struggled with her mental health.
It would be great to see Elliot return one more time.
3. Nicky McKendrick
Nicky McKendrick performed from 2017 to 2021.
Earlier this year, Nicky discovered she was pregnant with Cameron Dunn’s baby.
She later discovered that Cameron was behind many suspicious hospital deaths.
After he was arrested, Nicky made the decision to leave Holby City. But it would be nice to see her return before the show ends.
In real life, actress Belinda Owusu recently gave birth to her first child.
4th Zosia March
Zosia performed from 2013 to 2019. She left the show in 2017, but actress Camilla Arfwedson repeated her role for an extended guest appearance.
Before her final departure, Zosia, who worked as an assistant doctor for cardiothoracic surgery, kept her pregnancy a secret.
She later decided to return to America, and it was revealed that Oliver Valentine is the father of her baby.
5. Oliver Valentin
Oliver ‘Ollie’ Valentine performed occasionally from 2009 to 2018.
During his nine years, Oliver had a few big storylines, including the death of his sister Penny and contracting a virus that struck his heart.
He was in a romance with Zosia, but Oliver left Holby in 2018. He was mentioned in 2019 when Zosia’s pregnancy became known.
We’d love to see Oliver and Zosia return to Holby for one final gig.
6. Faye Morton

Faye Morton was played by Patsy Kensit from 2007 to 2010 before returning in 2019 for the show’s 20th anniversary.
The character Faye is known to have had a rivalry with Jac.
It would be great to see Faye one more time before the show ends.
