Star ‘determined to get around during the trip’

Eamonn Holmes gave a health update saying he was “determined to get around” after being seen on crutches on a holiday trip to Scotland.

The 61-year-old presenter recently documented his struggle with painful back problems.

But now Eamonn was smiling again after using crutches to improve his mobility.

On Instagram, Eamonn posted selfies on a sunny golf course and one wearing a face cover at the airport.

The snapshot from the airport showed him holding up a crutch.

He titled the picture: “Determined to get around.

“Was in Bonnie Scotland for the holidays. Crutches and so … “

Judging by the smile on his face, he was thrilled to be back on the road and on the golf course.

How did Eamonn’s fans – and Ruth – react?

It wasn’t Eamonn who looked happy to be on a short break.

His wife, Ruth Langsford, replied in the comment section saying, “We have to get you back to the golf course!” followed by a golfer emoji.

Ruth was one of many fans who sent him words of encouragement.

Why is Eamonn “dependent on crutches”

Just last week, Eamonn confirmed that the months of chronic pain he endured was due to herniated discs.

He also said he was currently “dependent on crutches”.

However, Eamonn offered some good news – he had started physical therapy and was making good progress, he said.

Regarding the physio, he said, “Some of it is quite enjoyable.

“Not much of it, but I know he’s doing a good job.”
