Star explains why he “exposed” himself on set

In the latest news on John Barrowman, the actor has defended himself against allegations of “inappropriate behavior”.

Dancing On Ice judge John, 54, reportedly “exposed himself repeatedly” on the set of the Doctor Who series Torchwood.

Since 2005 he has played Captain Jack Harkness in the science fiction series and a spin-off.

John Barrowman News: What Did He Say?

In an interview with the Daily mail‘s Weekend Magazine told John that his “tomfooling” was aimed at “maintaining a fun atmosphere”.

He said he was never embarrassed about his body.

Nonetheless, he added that there was “absolutely nothing sexual about my actions”.

“Fast costume change”

John suggested that the cast often undress backstage for quick costume changes.

He continued, “It’s just like that and nobody thinks about it.

It is like that and nobody thinks about it.

“But I accept that my behavior at the time could offend.”

John said to “grow up”

John also admitted that BBC producer Julie Gardner spoke to him after a complaint.

He said he was advised to “grow up” and put an end to what he called “antics”.

The actor is now undergoing therapy after the newspaper alleged that Dancing On Ice bosses were pressured to eliminate him.

He said the therapy helped him deal with the effects of the reports on his mental health.

What allegations have been made against John Barrowman?

The allegations came after two television workers spoke to The Guardian.

One runner claimed, “Sometimes he would call me into his locker room and I would knock on the door and he would say, ‘Oh, look at this.’ And he just had his penis out and stood in the doorway.

“It was kind of accepted that it was his thing.”

Another claimed that John “regularly pulled out his genitals”.

John apologized and said his behavior was “cocky” when the allegations were made public.

He previously apologized in 2008 after Torchwood star Freema Agyeman told Thelondonpaper, “John is going to be walking around with his guy talking to people.”
