And although Piers’ words seemed like a joke, they got his fans on a possible comeback again.

Piers responded to Good Morning Britain’s performance when he retweeted an article about how ratings have fallen.
He hinted that he could revive the fate of the show if he co-hosted again.

But has an unimpressed Piers seriously suggested that he might be ready to return to the GMB group and save the day?

How Good Morning Britain fares in the ratings
According to MailOnlineThe number of viewers has steadily declined after Piers left in March.
On March 8, a high of 1.9 million viewers tuned in to cover Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

However, the next day, an average of 1.29 million watched Piers walk off the set. Later that day, Piers resigned from the show.
It is reported that ratings were negatively impacted as early as March 10th.
Audiences are believed to have continued to decline, with reports suggesting a low of 450,000 this Tuesday (June 1st).

How Piers’ followers reacted
There were over 500 replies to Piers within an hour of posting his taunts. The responses included those from fans, critics, and those who had changed their minds either way since he left.
One supporter joked, “The show should have been called Good Morning Piers. It’s nothing without you. “

One apparent non-fan replied, “It’s not just about viewership when it comes to human decency and serious reporting.”
And another tweeter admitted, “I never thought I’d say that, but the program needs you back. It’s so boring without you. “
How Piers left GMB
Piers stated that he doubted the accuracy of the account given by Meghan in her interview with Oprah.
He said he “didn’t believe a word,” she said after talking about feeling suicidal and claiming she had not received any help from the palace.
After a tense exchange with GMB colleague Alex Beresford, Piers left the studio set.
The bosses confirmed later that day that Piers would be leaving the program.
