Start date, cast and what it’s about

Professor T on ITV now has a confirmed air date and it’s imminent.

Ben Miller stars in the quirky crime drama, but what is it about and, more importantly, when does it start?

What is Professor T on ITV about?

Based on a Belgian original series of the same name, Ben plays Professor Julien Tempest.

Impeccably dressed and punctual, Julien lectures daily at the Cambridge Institute of Criminology on the science of crime.

But behind closed doors, Julien is fighting obsessive-compulsive disorder and germaphobia.

The professor’s carefully controlled world is slowly shattered when he is persuaded by one of his former students, Detective Sergeant Lisa Donckers, to help her investigate a serial rapist who started again after a 10-year hiatus, young women to attack.

Working with the police to clear up the case, old fears are exposed and feelings arise for old Detective Chief Inspector Christina Brand.

Who else is in Professor T?

In addition to Ben in the lead role, Professor T also plays Emma Naomi in the lead role.

Emma recently appeared in Netflix Smash, Bridgerton as Alice Mondrich.

Not only that, but former Snatch and The White Queen star Juliet Aubrey plays Juliet’s ex-Christina.

Elsewhere, the cast also includes Barney White, Andy Gathergood, and Frances De La Tour.

When is Professor T on?

ITV viewers don’t have to wait long for the new series.

It was already shown on BritBox, but now terrestrial viewers have a chance to enjoy it.

The six-part series begins on Sunday, July 18, at 9 p.m. on ITV.
