Suranne Jones has revealed that her father tragically passed away from COVID-19.
The 42-year-old Gentleman Jack actress says she is grieved in secret and still dealing with her father’s death.
Suranne hit social media and posted a heartbreaking flashback of how she snuggled up to her dad as a young girl.
Her Instagram caption then revealed the loss of her family.
And she announced that both of her parents have now unfortunately passed away.
Most recently, she said she was thinking of all those who have recently lost loved ones.
What did Suranne Jones say about her father?
Suranne wrote: “Happy birthday mom.
“Forever on a beach in Cornwall with dad. Mom died four and a half years ago, and sadly my father passed away this January after battling COVID and the effects it has on his body.

“We’re still coming to terms with it, but I know they are together and today I want to celebrate them both. My thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones. Today and always. “
She turned off the comments on the deeply personal contribution.
The actress had previously revealed that it was her father who originally encouraged her to pursue her passion for acting.
In fact, she said she didn’t think she was naturally talented, and her parents encouraged her to take as many acting and dance classes as possible as a teenager.
She told that Radio times: “Some people are talented, but I am not. I had to learn my craft, improve it. “
Still, she has become one of the UK’s best known and most successful television actresses.
Up there with the likes of Keeley Hawes, Suranne is in constant demand.
You may remember when her career as Karen Phillips began on Coronation Street.
But she has continued to enjoy tremendous success on hits like Doctor Foster, Vigil, Gentleman Jack, Scott & Bailey, and The Crimson Field.
Unfortunately, Suranne said her relationship with her mother changed when she battled vascular dementia.

While chatting with the Daily expressShe explained, “Your entire 30 year relationship has been one thing and then you have to rewire it.
“You have to accept losing someone if they are not completely lost. You are still visiting. There’s still a connection, only it’s very different. “
