The beheading scene leaves viewers traumatized

Anne Boleyn closed on Channel 5 with its finale (June 4th) last night.

The critically acclaimed show was a huge hit with viewers across the country.

Much applause was focused specifically on Jodie Turner-Smith’s portrayal of the misunderstood Queen Anne Boleyn.

Last night, however, some viewers were shocked at how vivid the retelling of their infamous execution scene was.

Fans rushed to social media to share their dislike while others were devastated when Anne’s story ended so tragically.

What are fans saying about the Anne Boleyn scene on Channel 5?

“#AnneBoleyn, I’m getting sick,” tweeted a viewer when she lost her head.

Another tweeted: “That was so barbaric. Poor Anne … Even the poor guys who were accused of being her lovers. The lute boy … beheaded. Crazy crazy crazy #AnneBoleyn. “

However, others criticized the producers for not recording Anne’s iconic speech before she was killed.

Shortly before she was beheaded, Anne gave a speech in which she insisted not to criticize her death sentence.

“How could they jump over their scaffolding? speech?! #Anne Boleyn“Said an angry fan.

A second tweeted: “When people talk about the execution of Anne Boleyn, they always talk about her speech on the scaffolding why was this not shown in the series #Anne Boleyn “.

While a third scolded: “You shorten the speech They did not contain Anne’s speech on the scaffold Absolutely mad about it! “

“I’m a little disappointed that it doesn’t contain Anne’s speech!” Said a fourth viewer.

The series told the story of Anne, who was at the center of intrigues at the royal court in the 16th century.

Viewers watched the iconic queen become pregnant with Henry with their second child and the court hoped for a son to take over his reign.

However, after a serious injury in a tournament accident, Henry and Anne separated.

He started flirting with her maid of honor Jane Seymour, and Anne’s life would eventually turn until she was sentenced to death.
