It also highlighted the moment that defined his career – his two fights with fellow Londoner Michael Watson.
What happened when Chris fought Michael?
In the years leading up to 1991, Chris made a splash in the boxing world when he described the sport as “dangerous” and “cup game” and “there is no guarantee that you will get up and walk away.”
In June of that year he fought tough rival Michael Watson and beat him.
In a rematch three months later, Michael put Chris on the canvas and appeared to be in control.
But Chris wiped himself off and covered Michael with an uppercut that had knocked him out.
The blow left Michael in critical condition and he had to undergo emergency brain surgery.
Although he recovered, he suffered life-changing brain injuries that made him unable to walk or speak.
Fortunately, Michael had recovered enough in 2003 to run the London Marathon.
What did Michael say about Chris Eubank in Piers Morgan’s life stories?
In the video montage Michael said to the camera, “No hostility. I have forgiven him and that is sincere. Chris was awarded. “
When Piers asked Chris about Michael, he broke down and said that he apologized for the incident and that this was the only thing he had regretted in his career.
I love you Chris, let’s get on with life. It’s all in the past.
The camera then turned to Michael, who was in the audience.
He said movingly to his former rival, “It’s okay Bruv, let’s get on with life.
