Brad didn’t recognize the queen

Part of Des’ advice included wise words about what exactly to do about the Queen who would be watching Bradley’s appearance.

In a chat with HuffPostBradley stated, “I was working on the 1993 Royal Variety Performance. [They recorded it] I got a call from Des O’Connor on Monday and Sunday – I was only a kid, 33, I think I was and it was my first big break.

I didn’t acknowledge the queen until the end, I had to bow and then get out.

“He said to me, ‘Imagine there are no TV cameras, just be yourself, don’t work on the cameras. But also, don’t work with the queen, she’s not interested in comedy, she loves ballet.

“And I took that on board – I only recognized the queen at the end, I had to bow and then get out.”
