The time for Grandfather Clock ran out tonight in The Masked Singer when he was revealed as Glenn Hoddle.
The legendary English player and football manager was in the bottom two positions alongside Viking.
Judges Rita Ora, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Milligan ruled that Grandfather Clock had reached the end of his journey.
They went wild when the mask came off, revealing Glenn, who said he wanted to do the show because he loved to sing.
“I’ve always had a passion for singing and wanted to try it,” he said. “When this happened it was too good to say no.”

Jonathan recalled that in 1987, Glenn and colleague Diamond Wights had actually pestered the charts with fellow Footie colleague Chris Waddle (see the video at the end of this article!).
Glenn was 30 at the time and was at the top of his playing career.

Glenn is now 63 years old and works as a TV expert and commentator for ITV Sport and BT Sport.
He said of the Masked Singer judges, “I’ve met one or two of them in the past and they have all been very nice to my performances and they have been so close!
“I think they might even have mentioned my name in the general discussion, but nobody really guessed, so the clues weren’t too obvious after all.”

Who is harlequin
The posh lady suggested lots of writing and storytelling, which led to suggestions like JK Rowling and Sarah Ferguson.
However, her voice is so accomplished that most viewers consider her a professional singer – Emily Sande, Des’ree, Macy Gray and Gabrielle are favorites.

Mo Milligan seemed to have lost his senses when he suspected Daniel Day Lewis was the faux Australian actor … as the actor is a good hit on the A-list.
Other slightly more reasonable suggestions were Josh Widdecombe, John Thomson, and Matt Lucas.

JR picked Game of Thrones star Jermone Flynn after today’s gig, while Rita picked Rick Astley.
Mo tore Lance Armstrong out of the air by accident, while Davina suggested his colleague Chris Evans.
Roman Kemp was also touted.
