Released with a mission to raise awareness of the celebration of life and promote help-seeking behaviors, the Mpower anthem ‘Zindagi Ko Hi5’ starring Arijit Singh has successfully reached over 16 million people as of its release earlier this month. As part of the campaign, the number “Zindagi Ko Hi5” rendered by Arijit Singh was posted on Mpower’s social media pages on World Suicide Prevention Day and has become one of Mpower’s most talked about campaigns. Mpower’s YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn handles have been inundated with comments from followers stimulating much-needed mental health conversations.
The video initially shows desperate survivors experiencing their weak moments. But in the end they prefer life to an extreme and irreversible step. Each of them finally cherishes moments of calm, indulging in mentally stimulating activities and spending time with loved ones. The message behind ‘Zindagi Ko Hi5’ was well highlighted in the video through thought-provoking text and imagery aimed at inspiring individuals to celebrate life’s precious moments. Through the video, Mpower, a pioneer in Indian mental health care supported by the Aditya Birla Education Trust, sent a strong message: “The answer is a reason. A reason to fight. One reason to change history. A reason for Hi-5 Zindagi. “

Ms. Neerja Birla, founder and chairwoman of Mpower, said of the success of the campaign: “The past 18 months have been remarkably challenging and with ‘Zindagi Ko Hi5’ we want to tell everyone that life is full of possibilities. When we designed the campaign, our goal was to encourage people to celebrate every moment in life. That Arijit Singh joined our mission and gave his voice to the campaign was a huge boost to our efforts. In just under 2 weeks we were able to touch over 16 million lives, and while we continue to create awareness of psychological wellbeing, I am confident that it will convey a relevant message to people when it comes to making the right decisions about their lives. “
