The One Show’s Jermaine Jenas greets first son with wife Ellie Penfold

; ed Jermaine Jenas of The One Show announced that his wife Ellie has given birth to a baby boy.

The couple announced their happy news last night (October 13th) when Jermaine posted on Instagram: “Good luck with three big sisters!”

This is the couple’s first son together, but their fourth child overall. They have two daughters together, eight year old Geneva and four year old Olivia.

Jermaine also has 14-year-old daughter Sancha from a previous relationship. She lives in the USA with her mother.

Jermaine posted on social media, revealing the toddler arrived on October 8th.

He also revealed that the little boy is Calle Jacob.

“You have no idea how loved you are! Good luck with three big sisters !! ” he quipped.

The former soccer player announced the happy news back in May and revealed his wife’s pregnancy when he hosted The One Show.

And his co-host, Alex Jones, was one of the first to send her best wishes.

She said, “Ah, congratulations !!!! He is a beauty! Love the name too. Enjoy the newborn cuddles. “

Encouraged by co-host Alex Jones, who was pregnant with daughter Annie at the time, Jermaine said: “I have a baby on the way and it’s a boy! Very excited in our house. “

He later laughed: “The four-year-old didn’t take it so well, if I’m honest with you.

“The eight-year-old is already practicing, the four-year-old just closed her face, ‘I’m the baby in the house, let’s not do that’.”

It is unknown how long Jermaine and Ellie have been together, but they were engaged in 2009 and married in 2011.

It wasn’t an easy path for them, however.

“It was love at first sight when I saw her, but not for her,” he told the Belfast Telegraph. “She wasn’t impressed by this cheeky cocky guy who thought she’d be overwhelmed when I pulled up in my Ferrari. She actually made me get rid of the car because it was too loud!

“She told me that when we first met she thought I was a little overconfident fool, but I finally won her over.

“She’s down to earth, isn’t interested in football and has never been impressed by how conspicuous it is. She stabilized me, calmed me down, helped me grow up and softened, and totally supported me when my injuries went downhill. “
