A twisted love story, a struggle for daily life, a calculated friendship, and a journey to find solace … Netflix’s Ajeeb Daastaans explored Jealousy, Claim, Prejudice, and Toxicity. The anthology blurs the lines between right and wrong and examines the complexities of human behavior and relationships.
The writer and director Shashank Khaitan said: “My film Majnu examines the dynamics of three characters, their interpersonal relationships, and how they evolve with each scene. Jaideep, Fatima and Armaan’s characters all want love on their own terms and space to express themselves, but are trapped in the norms of society, much like many people around us. Working on a pre-defined topic about flawed relationships was a unique experience for me as it was my first time doing something so unusual and yet realistic. “

Director Raj Mehta spoke about his film and said: “Khilauna was made with the intention of providing the audience with an unexpected storytelling experience. The story and the title itself can have different interpretations for each viewer, and that’s what makes it exciting. Nushrratt, Abhishek and Inayat have this multi-dimensional relationship that gives the film depth. We presented imperfect characters, similar to real life with no clear black or white tones. It’s entirely up to you and hopefully the movie will keep the audience confused and yet entertained! “
Award winning director Neeraj Ghaywan on writing and directing his film: “Geeli Pucchi examines the realities of intersection between two women from different worlds. Both long for an emotional connection that they find in each other. It was really inspiring to see how Konkana and Aditi brought these characters and their relationship to life. Geeli Pucchi is a complex ride of emotions and I am very excited to see the audience’s reaction to it. “

Kayoze Irani made his debut as a director and said: “Ankahi is all about emotions – those that can be expressed and those that cannot be said. What attracted me to the film was the fact that communication doesn’t have to be verbal and a lot can be said without words. Manav and Shefali were a pleasure to direct and they undo the entire storyline. It is an amazing feeling when lines written on paper turn into a beautiful vision due to the fabulous acting and chemistry. The feeling of fulfillment after a movie is over is immense and I can’t wait to share it with the audience. “
