Jacqueline Fernandez, who made her way to India from Sri Lanka to pursue a career in the Hindi film industry, has come a long way. As one of the most credible and bankable actresses today, she has a huge following due to her on-screen appearances, dance moves, and humble nature. The actress is one who is grounded and has always given back to society by doing philanthropic work on an individual level. She always wanted to create a foundation that would support her philanthropic activities, and two months ago she started her own YOLO Foundation.
This move was taken by the actress during the height of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The foundation, when it was established, aimed to achieve three goals – distributing 1 lakh meals per month to people in need, distributing masks and disinfectants to the Mumbai police, and feeding stray animals. In addition, the actress has distributed raincoats to the Pune and Mumbai police to counter the unexpected showers during the pandemic.

Through the YOLO Foundation, Jacqueline also supported individuals, organizations that campaign for Covid aid, and also donated for the procurement of oxygen bottles. Organized food donation campaigns outside the KEM hospital in cooperation with the Roti Bank Foundation, yoga with NGO girls on International Yoga Day. All in all, Jacqueline and the YOLO Foundation team aimed to build a kindness brigade that would spread kindness to the community during such troubled times.
Some exemplary, selfless deeds that the actress accomplished in just two months have brought a lot. Feeding countless people, thinking of those who protect us day and night, the voiceless on the streets is a commendable work of the YOLO Foundation. We really need more people like Jacqueline Fernandez, she really believes in “You only live once” and everyone should spread positivity and kindness and give back to society as much as possible.
