The Witcher Season 2 is on the way, and Henry Cavill’s Jaskier has a whole new bunch of evil to fight – and that’s just the people.
As part of WitcherCon, Netflix has released a ton of information about what’s coming up.
From first-look photos to new guest stars and some spin-offs, the fans were completely satisfied this weekend.
Here’s everything you need to know – starting with a look at the action-packed trailer …
What happens in the Witcher season 2?
The trailer shows that Ciri (Freya Allen) will play a central role this season.
Geralt (Cavill) protects the princess and regards it as his fate, but Ciri is much more damaged and he imagined.
However, with the help of some new recruits, she learns to defend herself.
Meanwhile, lute player Jaskier (Joey Batey) is back in action, still playing in front of the crowds.
In the last few seconds, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) appears bad. Has she been captured and what will become of her?
Who is part of the cast this season?
This year, a huge number of British stars will be taking part in The Witcher’s second season.
This includes Kristofer Hivju from Game Of Thrones, who will play Nivellen.
Bridgerton stars Adjoa Andoh and Chris Fulton will also be on the series – with Fulton playing the evil Rience in the books. Andoh plays the priestess Nenneke.

- 2 – Kaer Morhen
- 3 – What is lost
- 4 – Redan Secret Service

We have to say we’re a little curious / concerned about why the episode eight title hasn’t been revealed yet.
What secrets does it hide?
Think we’ll find out soon enough.
When is the Witcher Season 2 release date?
The Witcher season two will hit Netflix on December 17th.
However, if you are struggling with the wait, they are here for you.
After all, The Witcher universe is being expanded with a prequel series and an anime series.
The anime, Nightmare of the Wolf, will first land on August 23.
So at least there is something to bridge in the meantime.
