What is Heartstopper on Netflix about?

Heartstopper is a romantic drama about two boys who fall in love at school.

It is based on the graphic novel by Alice Oseman, who first found recognition for her work on Tumblr.

The story revolves around Nick Nelson, a popular student, and Charlie Spring, a very emotional student.

Once the two are forced to sit next to each other in class, both lives change forever.

Charlie is openly gay and has feelings for Nick immediately.

However, he assumes that he has no chance with Nick and is also not sure what his sexuality is.

As a romance finally blossoms, the young two explore love, sanity, and join their families.

Ultimately, Netflix reckons this series with embracing our authentic selves.

It will be eight episodes and will be produced by See-Saw Films.

Who is in there

Kit Connor will play Nick. You may remember him as the young Elton John in the movie Rocketman.

While he also played Pantalaimon in His Dark Materials and starred in various other television series.

Charlie is played by Joe Locke who is a newcomer to the acting world.

This rising star earned the role after auditioning among around 10,000 others.

Alice Oseman said of her casting, “Nick and Charlie have existed as characters for nearly a decade and are two of my favorite characters. I was a little concerned about the casting search, but I’m so happy and excited that we did cast Kit and Joe.

“You’re both so talented, cute, funny and smart, and so perfect. They were so much fun getting to know and welcome to the Heartstopper universe and I can’t wait to see them bring the characters to life on screen. “

How can I watch the Heartstopper trailer?

There is no official Heartstopper trailer yet. However, we can confirm that the series has gone into production.

What is the Heartstopper UK release date?

Netflix has not yet confirmed an official release date.

With the show already in production, we’re assuming the series will hit Netflix sometime this fall.

Alexi Wheeler, Director, Kids & Family Content, said he knew the show was special once it was turned on.
