Viewers horrified by revelations of the biography

Max Clifford’s documentary on Channel 4 shocked viewers when it first aired revelations from his biography.

The glaring details in Max Clifford: The Fall of a Tabloid King included sex parties, voyeurism, and underage sex.

Celebrity PR consultant Clifford died in 2017 at the age of 74 and was serving an eight-year prison sentence for indecent assault.

What were the revelations in the Max Clifford documentary?

The shocking documentary revealed details from decades of the abuse, exploitation and abuse of power by Clifford.

In one segment, his biographer Angela Levin played some of the tapes from their interviews.

They were, she explained, the first time they had been heard on television.

In the tapes, Clifford was open about his infidelity.

He described himself as a “ringmaster” at sex parties and boasted that he had never been loyal to his wife Liz for more than “two or three weeks”.

The breathtaking revelations kept coming back.

He said of the sex parties, “There could be four or five stars and five or six girls doing all sorts of things in this and that room.

“And I checked it.

“I’ve met a lot of girls who were very attractive and very horny.”

He also enjoyed the way he seduced “other people’s wives and girlfriends.”

Elsewhere in the documentary, investigators and survivors documented how he used hidden cameras to film or photograph couples having sex.

Clifford then revealed that he was using an alter ego – Terry Denton – to meet and abuse young women.

Viewers soon took to Twitter to register their shock and horror at the revelations.
