Viewers shared over final song

Ant and Dec Show Saturday Night Takeaway kicked off his current run last night with a performance by singer Raye.

At the beginning of the episode on Saturday evening (April 3), presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly greeted the pop star in the studio to sing Bed.

The audience at home, however, felt divided over the lyrics of the song.

What did Ant and Dec fans say about the song on Saturday Night Takeaway?

When the star sang on the program, some viewers winced, claiming it was “inappropriate” for a family show.

One said with a grimace emoji, “I have a bed, but I’d rather be in yours tonight,” um. Guys. This is a family show. “

A second repeated this and wrote: “Fun for the whole family” … “I have a bed, but I would rather be in yours tonight!” OK.”

ITV viewers shy away from “inappropriate” lyrics

“Suitable lyrics for a family show,” laughed a third.

“Exactly my thoughts,” agreed a fourth viewer.

Another quipped, “Two things, one, an inappropriate song for kids, and two, if she’s in my bed, where do I go to sleep?”

I have a bed, but I’d rather be in yours tonight, uh. Guys. This is a family show.

A sixth tweeted, “What a wholeheartedly inappropriate song to start an evening of family entertainment on Saturday night. Bizarre.”

ED! contacted ITV for comment.

The song contains the lyrics: “I have a bed, but I would rather be in yours tonight.”

However, not all felt that way when some took to Twitter to praise the performance and the episode as a whole, particularly the show’s epic ending. Others beat viewers who had problems with Rye’s song.
