Night Stalker on Netflix is a terrifying documentary series that tells the story of serial killer Richard Ramirez.
Ramirez carried out a frenzied assassination attempt in California in the mid-1980s and appeared to kill accidentally.
But how many victims did he kill, did anyone survive, and what did survivors say?
How many victims did the Night Stalker from the Netflix documentary kill?
Ramirez killed a total of 14 people.
It is believed that he tortured at least two dozen others during his lifetime.
His first known victim was 79-year-old Jennie Vincow, whom he sexually assaulted, stabbed and brutally killed while breaking into her home.

This sparked a terrible rampage in California that lasted from the summer of 1984 to the summer of 1985.
However, DNA has tied him to a previous murder – that of nine-year-old Chinese-American girl Mei Leung in his basement in San Francisco.
In court he was convicted of 13 homicides, five attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults and 14 burglaries.
Did anyone survive the Night Stalker attacks?
In 1985, Ramirez attacked Maria Hernandez and shot her in the face.
Remarkably, she survived, but her roommate, who set off the alarm, was not so lucky.
In May, Ramirez broke into Bill Doi’s home. After killing him, he raped his wife Lillian while he was ransacking the house. She survived.
Other survivors include sisters Mabel Bell and Florence Lang (both in the 80s when Ramirez attacked them), 16-year-old Whitney Bennett, and 63-year-old Sophie Dickman.
What did survivors say?
During the 1989 trial, after Ramirez raped, beat, and robbed her, a survivor said to her, “I don’t know why I’m leaving you alive. I’ve killed people before. “
After Ramirez died in 2013, the survivor said Sakina Abowath to the Denver Post: “I’ve been waiting for this message for the longest time.”
Sakira’s husband, Elyas, was killed in the attack by Ramirez and she said her son was still living with the trauma.

“He has a scar on him. Depression, panic, ”she said.
“Everything was taken away from him. He still remembers everything.
“How he put his finger in Papa’s mouth and blood came out on his finger. He still remembers those little things. “
