Will Martin be back in the Line of Duty?
Creator Jed Mercurio has failed to confirm a seventh series of Line of Duty.
In May, the BBC hinted that it would be happy to do more episodes if creator Jed Mercurio so requested.
Regarding the possibility of a new series, he told Radio Times in March: “We are in a situation where it is not entirely clear that there will be a seventh series.”
Actor Adrian Dunbar has also hinted that the show might be back one day.
Adrian spoke about H and his role as Hastings on the BAFTA red carpet and said, “I mean there might be a way to go with all of this, we don’t know yet, do we?”
Uh! Please come back, Hastings!
Is traces coming back?
Martin Compston played Daniel MacAfee in the hit crime drama Traces earlier this year.
Traces was originally featured in 2019 on Alibi, which owns the rights to Traces.
Alibi confirmed that they have renewed the drama for a second season.
Based in Scotland and exploring the world of SIFA – the Scottish Institute of Forensic Science – the first series featured Emma Hedges, Prof. Sarah Gordon and Prof. Kathy Torrance.

The second series will continue to delve into the world of forensics.
The women at SIFA carefully analyze traces of evidence to find out who is behind a series of gruesome bombings in Dundee.
The city is nervous as the pressure mounts to identify the mysterious bomber before the next bomb goes off.
Martin Compston will return to starring Molly Windsor and Laura Fraser in the drama.
In Plain Sight ends on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 at 9 p.m. on ITV1. Vigil will air on BBC One later this year.
