Corey of Coronation Street was caught when new evidence of Seb and Nina’s attack came to light. But will he go to jail?
Last month, Nina and her boyfriend Seb were attacked by Corey Brent, Kelly Neelan and their friends.
Seb later died of his injuries, and Kelly and Corey’s other friends have since been arrested and charged.
However, when Corey offered evidence and claimed he tried to stop Kelly from attacking Seb, he was not charged.
For the past few weeks, Corey’s casual girlfriend, Asha, has been pretending to believe Corey for evidence of his involvement in the attack.
On today’s episode of ITV Soap (Friday June 4th), Corey woke up to find Asha searching his phone.
A short time later, Abi and Nina showed up, concerned that Corey might have injured Asha.
A disoriented Corey tried to escape and ran out of the apartment. In the end, however, he fell down the stairs in Victoria Court.
Asha wanted to call an ambulance, but Nina wanted to leave Corey to get revenge for what he’d done to Seb.
However, Abi decided to call an ambulance.
After Corey was picked up by the paramedics, Asha announced that she still had his phone.
Coronation Street: Should Corey Go To Jail If New Evidence Is Found?
After going into a health app, she found that she had tracked Corey’s movements.
The app revealed that Corey was walking the canal at 3 a.m. a few nights after the attack.
Asha took the phone to the police and showed DS Swain Corey’s movements.
DS Swain later joined Corey. She revealed that CCTV picked up Corey two days after the attack on Orphanage Lane, which culminated in a cul-de-sac behind the biscuit factory.
Corey explained that he took a walk in the middle of the night to clear his head.
Although Corey claimed he had never been there, the officer stated that they checked the footage from the night of the attack and saw Corey again on CCTV.
In the footage, Corey was wearing a tracksuit and a backpack. However, when he got out of Ginnel, Orphanage Lane, he was wearing jeans and a hoodie and had no backpack.
DS Swain revealed that the health app was tracking him while walking by the river and asked Corey if he had thrown the backpack in the river.
She explained that divers were searching the river. She asked Corey if he was wearing the tracksuit when he attacked Seb, and Corey said it was, but he didn’t attack anyone.

He said he tried to help Seb but got rid of the tracksuit in case his blood was on it.
What’s next for Corey?
While it was not known what will happen to Corey, things certainly don’t look good for him.
If his backpack with the clothes is found, he may face charges.
