Four Lives is a true crime drama starring Sheridan Smith that has been on the BBC list for some time.

It will also focus on their struggle to uncover the truth about what happened to their lost sons and brothers during a widely criticized police investigation.

Port, a former chef who was born in Southend, raped and killed four men between 2014 and 2015.
He met his victims through dating and connection apps.
He lived in Barking and made up fake biographies to attract his victims.
He also used drugs like GHB to calm her down.
Who plays Stephen Port in four lives?
Surprisingly, comedian and broadcaster Stephen Merchant Port plays in Four Lives.
Stephen, 46, became a household name thanks to his work with Ricky Gervais on The Office and Extras.
Speaking of playing port, he said, “This is a story that cannot be ignored – how four young people were killed and their families’ brave attempt to uncover what happened.
“This factual drama will shed light on your story so it is a privilege to be part of the narrative with the brilliant combination of Jeff Pope, Neil McKay and the BBC.”
Who is Sheridan Smith playing?
Sheridan has previously worked with writer Jeff Pope on Cilla, The Moorside, and Mrs. Biggs.
In Four Lives she plays Sarah Sak, the mother of Anthony Walgate, one of Port’s victims.
Sheridan says, “I love playing real characters – especially an inspiring woman like Sarah Sak – but that comes with responsibility.
“Along with the other families, Sarah had so much heartbreak and it would have been easy for her to just accept what the police told her, but something inside kept her fighting for her son.”
Why was Four Lives delayed?
The sun reports that COVID has delayed an investigation into the death of the four men.
Four lives can only be shown after the trial is over.

A source told the newspaper, “This will prolong the agony of families who hope the drama will show the world how the cases were handled and how the police could possibly have stopped the killer sooner.
“The relatives were annoyed last year when they learned that the broadcast date had been postponed by at least 14 months due to the legal proceedings.”
