Channel 4 series on The Jeremy Kyle Show
Channel 4 has commissioned a new series that looks back on the Jeremy Kyle Show.
The documentary focuses on the impact the program had on British culture before it was canceled two years ago.
ITV canceled the show in 2019 due to increased control following the death of guest Steve Dymond.
The new Channel 4 series is produced by the makers of Jade: The Reality Star Who Changed Britain.
It “aims to tell the fuller story of the Jeremy Kyle Show and examine the impact it had on British culture and the lives of those who appeared on it”.
Viewers know that Jeremy Kyle Show guest Steve Dymond was found dead after filming an episode of the show.
He died of a morphine overdose and a heart problem.
Steve is believed to have committed suicide just days after taking a polygraph test on the ITV program.
Afterward, he said he was concerned about the show’s impact and subsequent rumors.
The show was canceled shortly afterwards.
What is Jeremy Kyle doing now?
Perhaps understandably, Jeremy Kyle has been very restrained since dropping the Jeremy Kyle Show in 2019.
He declined a request to appear before MPs investigating reality TV.
He was named an “Important Witness” but refused to attend.
There have been many reports and rumors of a return since his departure from ITV1.
He is supposed to be planning a new series of The Kyle Files in 2020, but nothing came of it – maybe due to Covid-19.
ITV1 bosses seem to have taken inspiration from the other shows Jeremy produced for ITV, including Jeremy Kyle’s Emergency Room and High Stakes.
However, nothing has been seen of a return so far.
Jeremy was recently pictured with his Covid-19 vaccine.
In May, Jeremy was pictured pushing his child’s buggy around Windsor.
Jeremy became a fifth father in February 2020 when his fiancée Vicky Burton gave birth to a baby boy.
He’s grandpa too!
Needless to say, Jeremy may spend a lot of time with his family while planning his return to television.
A return to television in the foreseeable future is not yet planned.

Will he ever be on TV again?
Jeremy Kyle’s representative confirmed that he will be back on TV in February 2020.
She went to Instagram claiming the host “will have his say”.
In addition to a photo of the TV presenter, his agent published a long message in which he admitted that he had “struggled for a year with unimaginable consequences”.
Given her 44,600 followers, PR Claire Powell wrote: “We’re excited to announce that Jeremy Kyle has now signed exclusively with The CAN Group.
“Jeremy Kyle dominated daily television for 14 years with his hugely successful talk show of the same name. He’s also proven to be a prime-time hit fronting five successful series for his investigative current affairs brand, The Kyle Files … “
She concluded, “Jeremy’s tremendous success in the UK was the catalyst for two syndicated US series as well as appearances by two other ITV juggernauts, This Morning and Good Morning Britain.”
However, there was no update after the post in 2020.
ED! believes he may have to bare his soul in I’m a Celebrity or Piers’ Life Stories in order to win over the public – and the TV networks – again.
What did jeremy say?
Jeremy reportedly was “devastated” when his talk show was canceled the day after Steve’s tragic death.
He said in a statement to The Sun at the time, “I and the production team I’ve worked with for the past 14 years are all devastated by recent events.
“Our thoughts and compassion are with Steve’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time.”
Since then, the 55-year-old has not spoken out publicly.
Viewers can expect to see the new C4 documentary about the Jeremy Kyle Show later in 2021 or 2022.
