What you need to know about Queen Ella Vaday

Warning: you are about to have an Ella Vaday with this season three competitor of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

The 32-year-old from Dagenham, Essex, is a theater queen through and through – she disheveled co-star Veronica Green’s feathers upon arrival.

But after conquering the West End, does she have what it takes to rule the catwalk?

Ella Vaday is musically trained in theater and has appeared in some of the West End’s most popular shows.

It also includes being a swing mat for Wicked, Book Of Mormon and Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat.

She has also appeared in Fame and Cats overseas. But her first experience with television was with X Factor, as a background dancer for Olly Murs and Eoghan Quigg.

About what she expects from her drag, Ella said, “I like being bigger than life. My costume is the feminine side of me that I was never allowed to show as a male actor, so it’s up to everyone who has ever told me that I have to look like a leading actor.

“Now I am both the captain and the chief wife!”

What does Ella want to bring to the drag race?

“I have all the skills I’ve acquired over the past 13 years,” she said.

“This competition tests everything I’ve ever learned. In the short time I’ve been doing drag, I’ve really pushed myself. I don’t do things by halves. “

“I don’t think anyone has had a great career and then switches to drag at 30, so I’m looking forward to the singing and dancing challenges,” added Ella.

“Where I know, I can surpass. I always sing live too! “

We are ready to see what she brings on stage.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK continues at 7pm on BBC Three on Thursdays.
