When did Gaynor Faye leave Emmerdale?

Gaynor Faye played Megan Macey in Emmerdale from 2012 to 2019.

She initially joined a twelve-month contract but soon became a regular series.

Megan was a headstrong and confident personality that filled Kim Tate’s boots.

Gaynor described her character as follows: “The women on Emmerdale are strong and lively and I can’t wait to play my character, who is fun but extremely motivated and doesn’t stop at anything to find their own way!

“It’s very different from a lot of the roles I’ve played before and hopefully will surprise people.”

Your character disheveled more than a few feathers in the village.

She married Jai Sharma in 2015 and had a long feud with Charity Dingle.

She later married Frank Clayton, who died in a fire and devastated her.

Megan left the village as part of her grieving process, leaving the potential for her character to return, perhaps in the future.

She left the soap in 2019 to work on a stage adaptation of her mother’s Band of Gold script.

Speak with So GlosGaynor explained, “I was working on Emmerdale back then and doing the Band of Gold workshopping and people just loved it … absolutely loved it.

“Then I was asked if I would be there, but I was still in Emmerdale so I had to make a choice whether or not to leave Emmerdale – and that was a big decision.”

Who did Gaynor Faye play on Coronation Street?

Gaynor played Judy Mallett on Coronation Street from 1995 to 1999. Her character was married to Gary Mallett and they shared two children.

They bought number nine from Jack and Vera Duckworth. Her character was killed by an embolism after a car accident in 1999.

She had only given birth to her twins a year before she died after struggling to get pregnant.

She died washing up and while Gary was attending Ashley and Maxine Peacock’s wedding.

Does Gaynor Faye have a famous mother?

Yes. Gaynor, now 49, has a famous mom named Kay Mellor, 69.

Kay OBE is a famous British screenwriter, director and actress.

Her best-known works include Band of Gold, Fat Friends, Zwischen den Blätter, Im Club, Freundinnen and Das Syndikat.

Her daughter Gaynor has appeared in several of her productions – including Fat Friends, Playing The Field, The Chase and now The Syndicate.

Meanwhile, Kay’s other daughter and Gaynor’s sister, Yvonne Francas, is a television producer.

She was the producer of several Gaynor works, including The Syndicate and Fat Friends. Other current production roles are “Death in Paradise” and “Our Girl”.

She also had an acting role on Fat Friends and on several other television shows.

Who is Gaynor Faye married to?

Gaynor has a long-term relationship with real estate agent Mark Pickering.

They share two children.

Who does Gaynor play in the Syndicate?

Gaynor plays the newsagent Cheryl, who is engaged to the player Frank, played by Neil Morrissey.

Neil is accused by a group of kennel workers of cheating on them out of a big lottery win.

Gaynor said in a recent interview with Lorraine that she is more than aware that her success in acting is due to epotism.

In fact, she said she was reluctant to take on that exact role.

She said, “So it was one of the things, I suppose she asked me if I was going to play the character and I didn’t mean to slip back into that old, boring it, ‘the nepotism thing.

“But I thought, ‘I haven’t been in their world for 13 years and I’m available and I’m an unemployed actress and the character is there.

“She’s a great character and I thought, ‘Am I going to sit there and watch someone else do it? No i will do it. ‘”

When does the fourth series of The Syndicate run?

The fourth series of The Syndicate launches Tuesday, March 30th at 9pm on BBC One.

It can be streamed on BBC iPlayer shortly after it first aired.
