When Fergie met the monarchy to expose the Queen’s “rage” over “toe sucking”

When Fergie Met the Monarchy, a new documentary airing on Channel 5 will shed light on the Queen and Prince Philip’s reaction to the infamous “toe sucking” incident.

The program examines the Duchess of York’s life at The Firm – and the reactions of her high-ranking members to the photos of her and the Texas millionaire John Bryan.

When Fergie met, the monarchy investigated the incident of them sucking their toes

After a break in the south of France with finance manager John and their children, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, Fergie was reportedly dating the other royals at Balmoral when they saw the pictures in the morning papers.

Photos showed Sarah lying topless on a sun lounger and John holding her foot and sticking her toes in his mouth.

Claims that the Queen and Prince Philip were “angry”

Tom Quinn, author, says: “[John] claims like it makes a difference that he kissed her toes. It’s impossible to imagine the shock and horror, even for someone as confident as Sarah.

“Apparently Prince Philip came into the breakfast room, took one of the papers and just tossed it in front of him and went out.

“As is well known, Sarah sent flowers to Princess Margaret, who sent her back with the message: ‘You are an absolute disgrace to the family’.

TV presenter Jennie Bond says in When Fergie Met the Monarchy, “She knew she had to face her mother-in-law. And the queen was apparently absolutely furious. “

Sarah left Balmoral with her daughters that morning.

And the royal family later let her father go as Prince Charles’ polo manager, a role she has held for 20 years.

Philip’s ‘anger’ over Fergie pictures

The writer Ingrid Seward says: “After the breakup of the marriage, Prince Philip is absolutely white-hot with anger with her. Because he feels that she has abandoned the monarchy that he has supported all his life – i.e. the queen. “

Later in the program, however, there is speculation that Philip’s attitude towards Fergie may have waned in recent years.

He reportedly always refused to be in the same room with her. However, at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018, they weren’t far from each other.
