Alex Jones is set to welcome her third child this summer – but when will The One Show star go on maternity leave?
The presenter, 44, and her husband Charlie Thomson are already parents to sons Teddy and Kit.
And the couple count the weeks until they greet their baby.
When does Alex Jones go on maternity leave?
The BBC has yet to announce Alex’s last appearance on The One Show.
However, the host is preparing to leave in the next few months.
During a recent chat with HELLO! magazine, the star opened up her maternity plans.
I’ll go for it and I’ll probably stay away
She told the publication, “The show takes a three week break each summer and that break will be in August this year.
“So I’ll start with that and I’ll probably stay away. That is the plan.”
The star, who is currently in the third trimester, is due to be born in late August.
Additionally, Alex announced that Ronan Keating and Jermaine Jenas will co-host the show.
Then she added, “Of course during the pandemic we had a lot of people presenting with me like Rylan and Michael Ball and Alex Scott did some. I think it’s just going to be a mix of all the people our audience is pretty familiar with. “
Ronan and Jermaine were announced as permanent hosts on the show last month.

However, it seems that some viewers will miss Alex on their television screens.
After her pregnancy announcement, one said, “The only sad thing about your news is that we won’t see you for a few months.”
A second added, “Please confirm that after your maternity leave you will be back on The One Show?”
ED! has contacted the BBC for further comments.
