Jane announced last year that she was leaving Channel 5.
This baffled her fan base as the singer and presenter had become synonymous with the station.

She revealed that morning that she just wanted to use other options.
Jane said, “It’s time to step aside, pass the baton, and do new things.
“I had the best time and thank you Channel 5.
“It was wonderful, it really, really did.”
What are some of your upcoming projects?

What is Jane McDonald’s book about?
Jane published her autobiography Riding The Waves: My Story in 2019.
Here she describes her humble upbringing at Wakefield and her rise to fame.
And their tumultuous marriage – and their newfound love.
As she spoke about her book with radio host Gary Davies, she shared the ups and downs of her career.
Jane said, “It wasn’t all easy to sail, but this industry isn’t.
“I wrote the book because a lot of people asked me, how do you survive? and how do you do that?’ and i guess you just gotta remember why we do this “
Finally, explain, “No matter what happens to you, that’s how you deal with it.
“So I wrote all of that in the book, how I got through things.
“How things fell apart around me, but how you survive it.”
