Who is Verity Hardcastle, one of the judges at Pooch Perfect?

Verity is a professional dog groomer based in Yorkshire.

She is an avowed “great animal lover”, as she revealed in a conversation with the BBC that as a child she “would always ask about a pony, dog or cat” on her Christmas lists.

Verity started taking care of dogs when she was 18 and quickly knew she wanted to make a career out of it.

After taking part in a maintenance day, she completed further training courses and now offers training for prospective snow groomers.

Who is Pooch Perfect Judge Colin Taylor?

Colin is also a professional dog groomer and owner of a company that sells dog grooming products.

He told the BBC that he originally wanted to become a primatologist and study gorillas, which has always fascinated him as a child.

While working in a pet store, he served someone who had bought a set of nail clippers for dogs, which sparked his interest in grooming.

From there he went to the London Academy of Grooming and has been in the industry for over 35 years.

Colin has said his main job today is to train dog groomers through seminars and classes in the UK.

He is certified by the UK City and Guilds and is also a Certified Master Groomer in the USA.

Colin told the BBC his main purpose for the show was to make sure it represented the industry positively.

He said, “I wanted to make sure that the industry was presented in a good light and really represented.
