When is The Split back on BBC One?
The BBC has confirmed the series is returning and has gone into production for the third series.
However, a release date has not been confirmed.

In fact, given the current twists and turns around COVID-19 restrictions, it might not air until 2022.
What will happen in the third series?
The show’s creator, Abi Morgan, promises “the most dramatic, heartbreaking series ever”.
While the BBC’s official statement teased “a shocking revelation that changes the mission dramatically”.

Before we add: “Battle lines are being redrawn, your dream of a ‘good divorce’ remains in tatters.”
Where did the second series end?
In the second series, Nathan and Helen agreed to an amicable divorce.
Everything changed, however, when a great betrayal was exposed in Helen’s name.
The third series starts ten months after the end of the second series.
But another unexpected shock to both parties will emerge.
Once again they are throwing their divorce proceedings out of hand – and even taking a nasty turn.
Who is returning for the third series?
Nicola Walker, Stephen Mangan, Annabel Scholey, Fiona Button, Deborah Findlay and Chukwudi Iwuji will return for the third series.
Nicola Walker, who plays the main character Hannah Stern, said, “I can’t wait to be back in the Defoe family.
“We are all looking forward to the trip that Abi has planned for us.
“I don’t know if Hannah will cling to the wreck or walk away, but I know it will be a fantastic ride.”
Who is Nicola Walker playing?
Nicola Walker plays Hannah Stern, a tough divorce lawyer with no nonsense who suddenly also gets divorced.
And her husband happens to be one of London’s top lawyers specializing in family law.
Who is Stephen Mangan playing?
Stephen Managan plays Nathan Stern in The Split. He starts out as Hannah’s seemingly devoted husband.
However, their marriage crumbles after Hannah leaves her family company because of a rival and she discovers that he cheated on her.
While she then betrays his trust with an affair of her own in series two.
Any new cast additions?
Exciting cast additions have been proposed by the BBC – but not yet announced.
