John Gordon Sinclair plays Drew in the BBC One drama Traces.
Drew Cubbin is the somewhat shady father of Emma Hedges.
Emma is desperate to find out the truth about her mother’s murder years ago.
And Emma’s father seems to know a lot more than he wants to admit.

Who is John Gordon Sinclair?
The actor has been on our television screens for four decades!
He portrayed Andy in That Sinking Feeling in his first TV role in 1979 when he was only 17 years old.
Since then, he has starred in numerous television and film roles, including Gregory in Gregory’s Girl from the 1980s and the 1999 sequel to Gregory’s Two Girls.
He also voiced PK in Fraggle Rock, as Gavin in Snakes and Ladders, and Ted in Mad About Alice.
John has also performed in Bergerac, Marple, Rab C Nesbitt, and Ill Behavior.
He portrayed a Navy SEAL commander in the Brad Pitt film World War Z in 2013.

What is he most famous for?
John Gordon Sinclair is best known for his role as Gregory in the 1980 film Gregory’s Girl.
1999 was followed by a sequel entitled Gregory’s Two Girls.
In the first film, we meet Gregory – a normal teenager who is in love with a soccer-loving classmate.
He works hard to win her affection.
In the second film, set 20 years after his teen crush, Gregory is back in his old school teaching English.
Two of his students expose evil practices in a local factory and ask their teacher to help them expose the culprit who happens to be Greg’s old school friend!

Gordon John Sinclair is Scottish, as is much of the cast on Traces.
He was born in Glasgow, Scotland.
He joined the Glasgow Youth Theater at 15 and got his first TV role at 17.
How old is he?
John was born on February 4, 1962.
He is currently 58 years old.
Is he married?
John has been married to GP Shauna McKeon since 2004.
The couple were introduced by Clare Grogan, the Gregory’s Girl co-star.
They have two daughters.
Is he a crime writer now?
John writes crime novels and plays the main role in them!
His first novel Seventy Times Seven was published in 2012.
It’s a violent thriller from 1992.
Since then he has written Blood Whispers in 2015 and Walk in Silence in 2017.
Maybe one day the BBC will adapt one of his novels ?!
