Why the mother of the Siddiqui family will never be seen

You’re one of the longest-running gogglebox families, but a member of the Siddiqui family has been missing for years.

The TV family has a large following and has been a staple of the series since 2013.

But as viewers will have noticed, the mother of the family, Nasreen, has always refused to appear.

Sid (73) and his sons Baasit (34) and Umar (41) are the beloved stars, and sometimes the third son Raza also joins them.

Why doesn’t Nasreen Siddiqui appear on the goggle box?

Unfortunately, it turns out that Nasreen loves a private life a lot more.

However, that doesn’t mean she isn’t happy that her boys enjoy the fame.

She previously told Mail Online in 2016, “Oh no, this is not for me. I don’t speak English very well and I am very shy. It’s best left to the guys.

“You won’t see me on TV.”

However, if you follow the family’s Instagram, you may have seen them.

The family once shared a heartwarming family picture with Sid and his wife with their granddaughter.

It was titled, “I tried to take a picture of all three guys staring into the camera and smiling! Papa is like a statue with that smile, but Mama and Amelia do it on purpose.

“Every time one of them smiled, the other looked away or traded! The Siddiqui ladies are a stubborn and cheeky bunch. “

The happy couple has been married for almost 40 years.

They share two daughters who, like their mother, refused to appear on the show.

What does the Siddiqui family do for work?

Gogglebox is a far cry from anything the Siddiqui family does. Each member has their own professional career.

Sid is now retired. He previously worked as an energy engineer for the University of Derby and also for the NHS.

Meanwhile, Umar is working as a biomedical scientist in microbiology for the Royal Derby Hospital.

Baasit is a secondary school IT teacher – and says his students just love that he’s on the show.

The goggle box will be broadcast on channel 4 on Fridays at 9 p.m.
